Southington's Keal Named SCSU Lax Captain

It is the second year she has been a captain of the Owls.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southern Connecticut State University interim head women's lacrosse coach Betsy Vendel has announced that senior Carolynn Keal of Southington will serve as a team captain for the 2018 season.

It's the second straight year that Keal will serve as a captain for the Owls.

Keal enters her final season ranked fourth all-time at SCSU with 111 points and is also the program's all-time leader in assists (36) and caused turnovers (87).

Off the field, she is a co-president of the Owls' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and has been active within the SAAC and with local community engagement throughout her career.

She has also been recognized extensively for her work in the classroom as a multiple selection to the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
