SOUTHINGTON, CT - Amity Regional prevented Southington from seeking its fourth straight Class LL state softball championship with a 4-1 victory Monda in the semifinal at Biondi Field in West Haven, the Hartford Courant reported.
Amity pitcher Katie Koshes had 12 strikeouts.
Southington's lone run came on a sacrifice bunt in the sixth.
