Southington's Symphonic Band To Have Spring Show April 1
The popular community band is accepting donations at the door, but no tickets are required to enjoy the show.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — In as sure a sign as any that spring is here, the Southington Symphonic Band will present its annual Spring Concert on Monday, April 1.
It will be at 7 p.m. in Southington High School's auditorium, 72 Pleasant St.
The band's spring concert repertoire includes selections from the Jurassic Park movies, Riverdance, and a march.

No tickets are necessary, but donations will be accepted.
The Southington Symphonic Band, directed by former SHS band director Jeff Shaw, was
established in January 2023.

Its members include former SHS band members and band parents, local music teachers, and players from Southington and neighboring communities.
The band will also present a patriotic Fourth of July concert on Monday, July 1, at 7 p.m. at SHS.
Musicians of high school age or older who play a band instrument are welcome to join the Southington Symphonic Band. There are openings in all sections.
Rehearsals will resume on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. in the SHS band room after the April 1 concert.
