State Tournament Play to Open for Southington
Here's a look at upcoming matchups for Blue Knight soccer, volleyball and field hockey, as well as their state championship game history.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Cross country is over, swimming brackets will be announced later this week and football still has three games to go, but four other sports begin their state tournaments over the next three days, with all involving teams from Southington High School.
Listed in order of better seeds, here is the upcoming tournament schedule for Blue Knight teams:
- girls volleyball (LL): Staples/McMahon winner at No. 2 Southington, Thurs., 11/9, 6 p.m.
- girls soccer (LL): No. 23 Hall at No. 10 Southington, Tues., 11/7, 4 p.m.
- field hockey (L): No. 19 Newtown at No. 14 Southington, Mon., 11/6, 2 p.m.
- boys soccer (LL): No. 18 Southington at No. 15 Conard, Mon., 11/6, 2 p.m.
