Stay healthy; learn more about breast health maintenance

B ERLIN – Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers, and there is a one in eight chance that a female will develop it during her lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society.

A free program, “Breast Health Bingo” about breast health, self-exams and related topics will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6, 1 p.m., at Berlin Senior Center, 33 Colonial Drive. Presenter will be Tina Rodriquez, a Community Outreach educator for seven years who educates women on the steps they can take to stay healthy, and the significance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer. This program is sponsored by MidState Medical Center and HHC Cancer Institute.
