Program cancelled: Supporting a friend or loved one with cancer

PLAINVILLE – Sometimes, the most devastating news can be learning that a loved one has cancer. A free program about supporting a friend or loved one with cancer will be held Tuesday, May 15, 10 to 11 a.m., at Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. The discussion will focus on the psychological, physical, social, and spiritual impact that cancer causes for patients and loved ones. This session will be both educational and interactive. Presenters will be Paulette Schwartz, LCSW, and Bill Pilkington, supervisor for pastoral care. Hartford HealthCare at Home is sponsoring the program.
