Suspect In Southington Armed Robbery Case In Custody

SOUTHINGTON, CT — An arrest has been made in relation to an aggressive armed robbery in May at a Southington store, police said.

The incident took place at the CVS at 326 Main St. in Southington and on Friday, local police served a warrant to 29-year-old Andre Green. Green's address on arrest records show he's from Meriden. He was charged with first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a firearm and sixth-degree robbery.

Green's initial $150,000 bond was increased to $200,000 by a judge Friday and he remained in custody Tuesday morning, records show. He is due back in court on Dec. 1

According to a warrant, on May 10, officers responded to the CVS after being told a man was there wearing a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt, a hat and surgical mask while brandishing a firearm and demanding money.

Video footage obtained from store security cameras showed the man at several locations inside and outside the store.

According to a warrant, the robbery in Southington was very similar to seven other
armed robberies that occurred in Connecticut between March 31 and May 14 in Manchester, North Haven, New Haven, Newington, Cromwell, Plainville and Meriden.

They all involved a man with similar physical, clothing and vehicle descriptions, Southington police said.
