Suspect in Southington Power Tool Thefts is Arrested
Police say the suspect is accused of stealing the tools from Home Depot.

A Hamden man is facing charges that he stole power tools from the Southington Home Depot in four separate incidents in a six-day period last month.
According to Southington Police, investigators obtained four arrest warrants for larceny and arrested Laurence Bardinelli, 27, of Hamden, when he made a court appearance at Bristol Superior Court on Aug. 20.
The warrants were for four larcenies that occurred at Southington Home Depot stores between July 6 and July 12, according to police. Bardinelli is charged with two counts each of fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fourth-degee larceny; and one count each of fifth-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal trespass.

The power tools had values ranging from $498 to $1,266, according to police.
Bardinelli is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond set on each warrant. He is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 24.
