Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested in Southington

He was picked up on Tuesday.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A suspected drug dealer has been charged in Southington, police said.

On Tuesday at about 1:30 p.m., the Southington Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit with the assistance of the New Britain Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit arrested Paul Perez, 32, of New Britain, according to a report.

Perez was taken into custody at his place of employment located in New Britain. After a month-long investigation into Perez selling narcotics, an arrest warrant was issued for Perez, police said.

The warrant charged Perez with the sale of narcotics. The warrant carried a $150,000 cash/surety court-set bond, police said.

Perez was held at Southington police headquarters and was to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Wednesday.
