Suspects Sought In Major Southington Store Heist: Police

The Southington Police Department Tuesday released images of two suspects believed responsible for the July 16 incident.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Local police are looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a significant BJ's Wholesale Club heist last week.

The Southington Police Department Tuesday night posted two surveillance images of two men believed responsible for a major theft at BJ's in Southington, which is located at 75 Spring St.

Police said, at about 8:09 p.m. on July 16, they were called to the store for a larceny report.

According to the SPD, the suspects stole about $2,300 worth of electronics and they're believed to have been involved in other area shoplifting incidents.

The two men, according to police, loaded the items into a black SUV, believed to be a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and "quickly left the area."

Police said the Jeep was using a stolen registration plate,w ith the Maine registration on the vehicle not matching the SUV.
