Texting Turns Into Felony Charge in Southington

A man was charged on Sunday, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A New Britain man is facing a felony harassment charge for excessive text messaging, police said.

Police said that Joseph Koski, 38, of Barbour Road, New Britain, was arrested on Sunday.

He was charged with first-degree harassment, a felony, police said.

Koski was also charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace, police said.

His bond was set at $10,000 and he appeared in court on Monday, according to court records. Hi bond was reduced to $500, which he posted and he was given a new court date of April 28, court records indicate.
