Tickets Available For Southington Schools Gala Event Next Week

SOUTHINGTON, CT — One of the biggest fundraisers to support a Southington School System booster organization is taking place next week and tickets are still on sale.

The Southington Education Foundation is hosting its fourth annual "Spring for Education Gala," a fundraiser slated for Friday, May 5, from 6 to 11 p.m. at The Mountain Room, located at the Mount Southington ski resort, 396 Mt. Vernon Road, Plantsville.

According to the SEF's website, the foundation "operates independently of the Southington Board of Education and local tax dollars to secure funding for worthwhile, relevant projects that otherwise would not be available to our school children."

The benefit will feature a catered dinner by Carmelia Marie Catering and feature live entertainment by "Stay Tuned."

It will also include a silent and live auctions, raffles, dancing and more, according to the event's flyer.

Tickets are $50 per person, a table of eight is $350 and a table of 10 is $425.
