Tickets Going Fast For Southington 'Soup Night' Benefit
The Oct. 15 dinner will raise money to combat food insecurity locally and it will feature soups donated from Southington's restaurant scene.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Tickets are on sale now and going fast for an October benefit event for a Southington nonprofit that has declared war on food insecurity in the community.
And this tasty fundraiser promises stick-to-your-ribs goodness amid the chill of fall.
The event is the "Bread for Life Soup Night," which will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Southington High School, 720 Pleasant St., Southington, on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

This popular meal only has 400 tickets available, which means folks should get them as soon as possible to plan for a night of good food and help a good community cause.
"Bread for Life" is a Southington nonprofit located at 31 Vermont Ave., Southington, dedicated to fighting food insecurity in town.

It provides meals every day in its kitchen and delivers them to local seniors and those who are homebound, as well as to children during the summer.
Providing meals for "Soup Night" are several area restaurants from the town's robust culinary scene, all showing off their prized soups and sides.
Tickets, which are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 8, are only available online and they're going fast.
Adult tickets will also allow guests to take home a commemorative 'Soup Night' pottery soup bowl. In addition, the event will feature all sorts of fund-raising raffles.
