Two Killed in Southington Motorcycle Crash

Southington police are investigating a double-fatal accident involving a motorcycle that occurred Tuesday night.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. on the Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike near the intersection of Canal Street, according to police.

Motorcycle operator Adam Hicks, 37, of Meriden struck a vehicle exiting a commercial driveway.

Hicks was pronounced dead at he scene. His passenger, Amanda Horvath, 26, of Bristol, was rushed to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Southington Police Department Accident Investigation Team. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Officer Ward at 860-621-0101.
