Understanding home care resources and when they are needed

PLAINVILLE – It can be confusing to decipher the many home care resources and services available and know when they are needed. A free program on this subject will be held Friday, June 9, 10 a.m., at Plainville Senior Center, 200 East St. Topics will feature home care resources including private home care; when to bring in additional help; differences between home care and private duty; how to shop for private duty; what additional resources exist; and how to access them. Presenter is Nick Morella, manager of Community Relations, Hartford HealthCare Independence at Home, program sponsors.
