UPDATE: Southington Linear Trail Sections Close For Repairs Starting Today

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Portions of Southington’s Linear Trail will be temporarily closed as repair work begins Thursday, March 26, according to the Southington Police Department.

Officials said affected sections of the trail will be closed to the public while crews carry out improvements.

Work will begin simultaneously in two areas: the Canal Street section, where crews will remove and re-pour sidewalks, and the Summer Street section, where paving is scheduled.

Additional work is planned for the following week.

During the week of March 30, crews will begin removing and repaving the trail in the Canal Street section.

No timeline was provided for when the work will be completed or when the affected sections will reopen.

Residents are advised to avoid the construction areas and plan alternate routes while repairs are underway.
