Utility Line Work To Continue Sunday In Southington

State regulators have approved Eversource Energy's request to continue power line work this Sunday in Southington, Cheshire, and Meriden.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Electrical gridwork over the summer will continue on Sunday, Aug. 25, due to several delays, according to a recent state decision.

The Connecticut Siting Council on Aug. 21 said work done by Eversource Energy will continue this weekend at the Southington Substation and along 11.2 miles of power lines extending out into nearby towns.

According to the state, Eversource cited weather delays that prompted the job to take longer than expected.
