SOUTHINGTON, CT — A veteran keeper of the peace in Southington has called it a career in town, retiring after a quarter century of service.

The Southington Police Department recently announced the retirement of SPD Officer David Schneider, who stepped down last week after 25 years.

According to the SPD, Schneider served Southington "with dedication, honor, and dignity."
