Veteran Southington Police Officer Retires

The longtime law enforcer's last day was Tuesday.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A longtime member of Southington's Finest bid adieu to his law enforcement stint locally Tuesday.

The Southington Police Department Tuesday announced the retirement of veteran officer Alexander Miller, whose last day on the job was Tuesday, Jan. 31.

The department posted well wishes on social media, along with a photo of staffers saying goodbye to Miller.

"Collectively, as an agency, we would like to send Officer Miller well wishes in retirement," wrote the SPD. "Please join us as a community in recognizing Officer Miller's dedication to our town."
