Violent Incident Inside Car Leads To Charges In Southington
A man is facing several charges in Southington related to a violent incident in a car.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Wolcott man is facing several charges related to a violent incident in a car moving through Southington, police said.
Police released the details of the March 22 incident on Monday.
Alex Wabuda, 23, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an emergency call, third-degree assault, and third-degree strangulation.

The charges resulted from the investigation of a domestic dispute that started at the Dunkin' Donuts at 1843 Meriden Waterbury Road.
According to a report, a fight broke out inside a car between Wabuda and another person and, as they were driving back to Wolcott, Wabuda began driving erratically, according to a report.

Wabuda took the phone away from his companion, hung up on a 911 call and threw the phone into the back seat of the vehicle, according to a report. He then dropped the person off in the area of Old Mountain Road, according to a report.
He went back to the area few minutes later and slammed the person's head against the passenger window, of the car, causing "a knot" to appear on the victim's head, according to a report.
According to a report, he also threw the person's coffee out the window of the car and, in doing so, his hand struck the person in the face. Wabuda then began choking the person, according to a report, before heading home.
The victim was treated at an area medical center and released, police said.
