Volunteers Sought To Help Southington Seniors
UR Community Cares' Southington branch is looking for folks to help do odd jobs and/or chores for local seniors to help them live at home.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — A locally based nonprofit is looking for volunteers to help Southington's seniors maintain their homes ... and their independence.
UR Community Cares, which is located in Manchester but also operates a Southington branch, matches up volunteers with senior citizens who may need some chores done around the house or, even, just a little bit of camaraderie.
"We are trying to find volunteers to help the aging residents who need support to stay independent at home," wrote the organization's executive director, Michelle Puzzo, executive director, UR Community Cares.
