Warrant: Southington Man Takes ATM Card, Rips off Relative
He is facing theft charges, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A local man is facing ATM theft charges after ripping off a relative last month, Southington police said.
Southington police announced the arrest Tuesday. On June 30 at about 8 a.m. Robert J. Street, 36 of New Britain, was taken into custody at the Torrington Police Dept. on an arrest warrant, police said.
Street was in the Torrington PD’s custody after a traffic stop, police said.

Street was transported to the Southington Police Headquarters to be booked and processed. He was charged with fifth-degree larceny, credit card theft and the fraudulent use of an ATM card, police said.
Street was released on a court set $5,000 bond and assigned a court date of Aug. 8, police said.

According to an arrest warrant, Street used the ATM card of a family member to make fraudulent ATM
transactions without the family member’s permission or knowledge.
According to an arrest warrant, the transactions took place at various locations between May 8, and May 23, police said.
There were eight fraudulent transactions totaling approximately $899.50, the warrant states.
