Wendy's Proposed For Southington Parcel

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Plans have been submitted for a new Wendy's near a movie theater in Southington.

Planning officials said the proposal was submitted about two weeks ago and the discussion was tabled by the Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday night. The next meeting is slated for June 18, officials said.

The Wendy's would measure 2,578 square feet at 1799 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike. That is next to the AMC Starplex Cinemas.

The New Haven-based engineering firm of TPA Design Group submitted the design adjacent to the east side of the movie theater entrance, officials said.
