Wheeler Recognizes Bradley Henry Barnes & Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust at the Main Street Community Foundation

FARMINGTON, Conn. - The Bradley Henry Barnes & Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust at the Main Street Community Foundation was among six organizations and individuals to receive an award at Wheeler’s sixth annual Hands & Hearts reception on May 19 at The Country Club of Farmington. The event honors individuals and families, corporations and foundations for their outstanding support of Wheeler’s mission to provide equitable access to innovative care that improves health, recovery and growth at all stages of life. Thirty-five philanthropists have been recognized by Wheeler since the inception of this event.

“Through funding from The Bradley Henry Barnes & Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust, Wheeler’s Southington Health Outreach Project addresses gaps in health care services and promotes the health and well-being of Southington residents,” said Jake Biscoglio, chair of the development committee, Wheeler’s Board of Trustees. “Support from the trust and from the Main Street Community Foundation makes Southington a healthier community for me and my family and for all of my neighbors.”

Additional 2016 Hands & Hearts Appreciation Award recipients include: Mr. and Mrs. Hall Adams, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Connecticut Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society Chapter, Inc., The Howey Family, and Mrs. Doris Nims.
