Wine-Tasting Event To Help Feed The Hungry In Southington
Bread for Life's Aug. 23 fundraiser in Southington will feature wine and spirits tastings, food, live music, and a silent auction.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington Bread for Life will hold its annual wine tasting fundraiser Sunday, Aug. 23, with proceeds supporting the nonprofit's work addressing food insecurity in the community.
The event is scheduled from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Long View Ciderhouse, 36 Long Bottom Road in Southington.
Tickets cost $55 and include wine and spirits tastings, appetizers, pizza and dessert. Attendance is limited to people age 21 and older, and organizers said tickets are limited.

The fundraiser will also feature a silent auction, door prizes and live music from Black Bourbon.
Several local businesses are participating in the event, including Worldwide Wine & Spirits, The Little Grazing Cart, D'Agostino Fine Catering, Inferno Apizza and Rustic Spirits.

Bread for Life is a Southington nonprofit that works to address food insecurity among local residents. Its services include meals, food assistance, and deliveries to qualifying homebound residents.
