A Plantsville resident won the maximum payout for a scratch-off game sold at a Southington convenience store.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Plantsville resident's trip Thursday to a local convenience store proved to be quite a profitable venture.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp. Friday, the person won $20,000 playing the 20X Cash 9th Edition scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was purchased locally at the Henny Penny store at 273 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Southington, according to the lottery corp.
