SOUTHINGTON, CT — A winter storm which is slated to begin around mid-morning Tuesday has prompted school officials in Southington to cancel classes for the day.

Snow is forecast to fall between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., with three to six inches expected, and changing to sleet by evening.
