SOUTHINGTON, CT — A woman is accused of not caring for a teenager who had cut herself at a Southington residence last month and is now facing a criminal charge, police said.

Police said Chevelle Anderson, 29, of Waterbury, surrendered on Monday an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The warrant stemmed from an April 18 incident at a local residence in which a teenager threatened to harm herself and used a piece of glass to cut her arm several times, police said.

The teenager then left the home and Anderson is accused of not attempting to "provide care or call for assistance," according to a report.
