Woman Charged in $20,000 Theft at Southington Home

A Middletown woman has been arrested for a burglary in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Middletown woman is accused of stealing items valued at more than $20,000 from a Southington home, police said.

Ar 12:15 a.m. Monday, Molly Rothschild, 26 of Middletown, was arrested via an active warrant from a May 11 burglary at a Meriden Waterbury Turnpike residence, Southington police said.

Rothschild was charged with first-degree larceny and third-degree burglary and held on a $20,000 bond until a court appearance later Monday, police said,

The warrant alleges that Rothschild entered the residence and stole assorted jewelry and a container with about $500 worth of loose change in it, police said.

The residents told police reported the total value of the jewelry and change was $20,825, according to a report.
