Woman Faces Fake Prescription Charge in Southington
Police said the suspect tried to obtain oxycodone from a local pharmacy.

Southington Police have arrested a woman they say tried to use a fake prescription to obtain oxycodone from the Walgreens pharmacy earlier this year.
According to police, the suspect attempted to fill the prescription at the Walgreen’s Pharmacy at 359 Main St. on June 2. The prescription was in the name of another person and the prescription was not filled by the pharmacist, police said. On June 4, the pharmacy received confirmation that the prescriptionwas fraudulent and at that time police began their investigation, according to police.
On Oct. 24, at about 4 p.m., Tameka Allen, 36, of West Haven, was arrested on a warrant and charged with second-degree forgery and criminal attempt at obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.

Allen was released on a promise to appear in Bristol Superior Court on Nov. 2.
