Would-Be Burglar Caught Fleeing Scene In Southington: Cops
A buglary suspect was nabbed in Southington, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A man caught fleeing a burglary scene is facing a number of charges in Southington, police said.
On July 13, police were dispatched to a residence on Buckland Street after a neighbor reported a
burglary in progress.
A witness told police the burglar had left the area in a northerly direction on Buckland St. and officers located someone matching the description walking on Main Street. The man was identified as Christopher Crehan, 30, of the Plantsville section of Southington.

Crehan is accused of trying to push in a window unit air conditioner at a Buckland Street home in an effort to break into the house, according to a report.
He is also accused of attempting to break into a vehicle in the driveway of another Buckland Street residence.

Crehan was never able to enter the home or the vehicle. He was, however, found with "narcotic pills" and heroin, police said.
He was charged with third-degree criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary, criminal attempt to commit second-degree burglary, breach of peace, possession of narcotics and possession of a controlled substance.
