25 Years: South Windsor To Hold 9/11 Memorial Service Thursday
Friday, Sept. 11, marks the 25th anniversary of the terror attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The South Windsor Fire Department will hold a memorial service Thursday evening to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The service begins at 5:30 p.m. at the fire department, 1175 Ellington Road. The community is invited to attend, according to a statewide listing of Connecticut remembrance ceremonies.
Friday marks 25 years since hijacked planes struck the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. A fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers and crew members fought back against the hijackers.
