4 Candidates In 3rd Senatorial District Race

Four Democrats have announced they'll run for the seat Tim Larson is leaving.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - Four Democrats have announced their candidacy for the third state Senatorial District, according to the Journal-Inquirer. Democrat Tim Larson has left the seat to accept a position in Gov. Ned Lamont's administration. A special election for the seat will be held Feb. 26.

The candidates include former Ellington First Selectman Dennis Milanovich, lawyer Don Bell, East Hartford Board of Education Secretary Tyron Harris, and South Windsor Mayor M. Saud Anwar. The district comprises East Hartford, East Windsor, Ellington, and South Windsor.

The candidates will hold a forum Thursday at 7 p.m. in the North End Senior Center in East Hartford, 30 Remington Road.
