49-Acre Housing Development Planned In South Windsor

On February 27, 2014, T&M Building Co, Inc. purchased a 49 acre parcel of  land located at 400 Pleasant Valley Road in South Windsor.  The seller was Horseshoe Lane Associates, LLC of South Windsor which is headed by Robert Urso.  The site known as South Windsor Woods has been approved for 15 freestanding homes, 12 duplexes and  128 townhouses.  This is the largest new housing development in South Windsor in a number of years.  The seller was represented by Willard & Alexander.  The purchaser was represented by in-house counsel.  Simscroft-Echo Farms of Simsbury is scheduled to begin the site work in March.  The building permit for the model house has already been issued and construction is expected to begin shortly.  Bill Prokop will be the construction manager.

 Acquisition financing was provided by Peoples United Bank.  Construction bonding was provided by Rockville Bank.
