Man Threatened Brother With Hammer On Christmas Day, South Windsor Police Say

South Windsor police said the man also struck a vehicle with the hammer during the reported Christmas Day incident.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A South Windsor man was charged after an incident on Christmas Day, according to police.

Police said officers responded to a home around 11 a.m. Thursday, December 25th, after a report that Thomas J. Adams, 53, threatened his brother with a hammer and struck a vehicle with the tool.

After investigating the scene, officers issued Adams a misdemeanor summons for breach of peace in the second degree, police said. He was released on a promise to appear in court.

Adams was scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Friday, December 26th, at 9 a.m., according to police.

Charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
