SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police arrested a Vernon man Thursday afternoon on nine active arrest warrants, including two tied to separate theft cases at Stop & Shop on Ellington Road, according to police.
Police said Adam W. Champlin, 42, of Vernon was arrested on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. The charges listed were two counts of sixth-degree larceny and seven counts of failure to appear in the second degree. The larceny cases stem from two separate thefts at Stop & Shop, 1739 Ellington Road, in October and November 2025, according to police.
Police reported that Champlin also had seven failure to appear arrest warrants from various Hartford Country Police Departments.
According to police, Champlin was taken into custody by the Glastonbury Police Department and then transferred to South Windsor police custody. He was processed and released on a total surety bond of $24,000, police said.
Champlin is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 9 a.m., according to police.
