Longtime South Windsor Officer Retires After 25 Years

He served as a patrol officer, detective, school resource officer and police instructor.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A longtime South Windsor police officer has retired after 25 years of service with the department.

Officer Jeremy Weiss, badge No. 160, served in several roles during his career, according to the South Windsor Police Department.

Police said Weiss worked as a patrol officer, field training officer, member of the Special Enforcement Unit, detective in the Criminal Investigations Unit and high school school resource officer.

Weiss also assisted the department as a crime prevention specialist and police instructor, according to police.

“We wish Officer Weiss well in his future endeavors and thank him for his service to the Town of South Windsor,” the department said in a statement.
