SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police reported two arrests this week, including a DUI arrest after a driver was reportedly seen “all over the roadway” and a domestic violence-related warrant arrest stemming from a June incident.
Myrna Felix, 42, of East Hartford, was arrested Tuesday, July 7, after police responded to Main Street around 1:28 p.m. for reports of a vehicle driving erratically, according to the South Windsor Police Department.
Officers found the vehicle making an illegal U-turn in the middle of Main Street and conducted a traffic stop, police said. Felix was identified as the driver.
Police said officers believed Felix was under the influence of alcohol during the investigation. Felix agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests and failed them, according to police.
Felix was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and making an improper turn. She was processed and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Monday, July 27, at 9 a.m.
In a separate case, Tyler J. Catlett, 27, of South Windsor, was arrested Wednesday, July 8, on an active arrest warrant connected to a domestic violence-related incident in late June, police said.
Police said officers had responded to a residence after receiving a report that a man was screaming that he was going to kill a female victim. During the investigation, police determined Catlett had assaulted the victim by slapping her and grabbing her by the throat, according to the department.
Police said Catlett also threatened to kill the victim while a juvenile was present and left before officers arrived.
Catlett was charged with risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening. He turned himself in at police headquarters and was processed and released on a $2,000 non-surety bond, police said.
He was scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Thursday, July 9, at 9 a.m.
