SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A large tree brought down power lines, including high-voltage primary lines, early Friday, closing roads and causing an outage in part of South Windsor, fire officials said.
Deerfield Lane is closed between Timber Trail and Scott Drive, and a portion of Blue Ridge Drive is also closed, according to the South Windsor Fire Department.
Barricades are in place, and Eversource crews were called to the scene. Residents and drivers are urged to obey the road closures and stay away from any downed power lines.
It was not immediately clear how many customers were without power or when service would be restored.
