Police said the charge stems from a June incident in which Sandberg allegedly made inappropriate contact with a victim during a volunteer event.

Investigators told Patch the volunteer event was the Strawberry Festival, held June 13. The alleged victim was an adult woman who knew Sandberg through the event, Cleverdon said.

Sandberg was taken into custody at Rockville Superior Court, processed and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond, police said.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. Aug. 12.
