• South Windsor High Raises Athletic Fees (patch.com) — South Windsor families with student athletes at the high school will see a significant jump in pay-to-play fees this year, with most sports now costing $175 per season and higher-priced programs like hockey rising to $450. District officials say the change, which shifts more athletic costs onto parents, aligns South Windsor with peer districts and helps close budget gaps, while fee waivers or reductions may be available through the athletic director.
   

• East Hartford high school football preview 2026 (thehour.com) — East Hartford's football team will visit South Windsor on October 9 at 3:45 p.m. in a key CCC conference matchup. The preview highlights new coach Ty Outlaw, a revamped defense, and returning quarterback Anthony Caravello as the Hornets try to rebound from a tough 2-8 season.
