South Windsor Sets Hearing On Removing Flock Cameras (patch.com) — South Windsor residents are being invited to a public hearing on October 5 to weigh in on whether the town should keep or remove its eight Flock automated license plate reader cameras. Town officials are seeking more input after debate over privacy, data sharing, and policing benefits, while new state rules tighten how Connecticut departments use and report on these systems.
2. Man Charged In South Windsor Gas Station Robbery (patch.com) — South Windsor police say an East Hartford man has been arrested in connection with a November robbery at the Exxon station on John Fitch Boulevard, where a clerk was sprayed in the face and cash was taken. The suspect, already in state custody on other charges, now faces multiple robbery, mischief, and assault counts after being served with a warrant and brought to Manchester Superior Court.
3. South Windsor School Program To Move (patch.com) — South Windsor's transition program for young adults with disabilities is moving from the high school annex into leased space on Ellington Road, freeing up badly needed classrooms at the crowded annex. The Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the relocation, which will place students in a more community-based setting while helping the district manage rapidly growing enrollment.

GametimeCT boys soccer rankings, week 3 (Sept. 29): Bethel joins the Top 10 (nhregister.com) — South Windsor's boys soccer team has climbed to No. 3 in GametimeCT's statewide power rankings after a strong week that included a 4-1 win over Stamford. The latest list tracks how top programs like Greenwich, Staples, Glastonbury and others are shifting as ties and upsets shake up Connecticut's early-season standings.
