SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor's Planning and Zoning Commission holds a hearing on letting places of worship build campuses with housing in rural residential zones, reviews a proposed town purchase of 645 Clark St. and receives a 69-unit senior housing plan off Oakland Road.

1. Hearing On Religious Campuses In Rural Zones
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 7 p.m. (Cox Channel 16, YouTube, Facebook)
Where: Council Chambers, Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Ave.
What to know: The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on The Golden Lampstand Association's proposed zoning changes, which would allow places of religious worship and religious campuses by special exception in RR zones with up to 50% impervious coverage, according to the agenda. Campuses could include up to 12 attached or detached housing units with an affordability component, and the change would add a 25-foot buffer and definitions including a retreat center.

2. Town Eyes Purchase Of 645 Clark St.
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 7 p.m.
Where: Council Chambers, Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Ave.
What to know: The commission will review a referral on a resolution authorizing the town manager to sign a purchase and sale agreement for 645 Clark St., and hold a preliminary discussion with the owners of The Shops at Evergreen Walk, according to the agenda.

3. 69-Unit Senior Development Proposed Off Oakland Road
When: Received; hearing or action by Nov. 10
Where: Council Chambers, Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Ave.
What to know: The commission has received an application for the Estates at 100 Oakland, a 69-unit senior residence development on 32.53 acres at 15 Petersen Way, 50 Darlene Drive and 80, 90 and 100 Oakland Road, according to the agenda. It also received Sharpshoot LLC's plan for a 9,900-square-foot warehouse at 58 Edwin Road.

4. Fair Rent Hearing, Energy Grant Talk
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13: Energy Committee 4:30 p.m.; Housing and Fair Rent Commission 6 p.m.
Where: Madden Room, Town Hall, 1540 Sullivan Ave.
What to know: The Housing and Fair Rent Commission will hold a hearing on a tenant's complaint against Aurenic Properties LLC involving 90A Main St., according to its agenda. Earlier, the Energy Committee will discuss Energize Connecticut's Community Partnership Initiative and Community Energy Boost Grant.

What to know: Town offices are closed Monday, Oct. 12, for Columbus Day, according to the town calendar. The Public Building Commission meets Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
