Ashes Of South Windsor Woman's Infant Son Stolen
A thief broke into a car in Hartford and stole a necklace containing her son's ashes.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - A woman is asking for the public's help after a vial attached to a silver necklace containing the ashes of her 3-month-old son were stolen from her friend's car in Hartford, according to NBC CT. LeeAnn Winn said she is devastated at losing the last remaining memory of her son, who died in 2009.
The car was parked on Broad Street near New Britain Avenue at the time of the break in. Winn turned to social media to spread the word in an effort to get the keepsake back.
Winn's story has been shared more than 2,000 times on social media. She said she doesn't care about the other items stolen from her purse, she just wants the vial returned, the Associated Press reports via the New York Times.
