AUTHOR BARBARA BERGREN TALKS ABOUT HER BOOK "WITNESS FOR MY FATHER"
On Wednesday January 27th at 7 PM there will be a “Virtual” presentation by Barbara Bergren regarding her book. , Witness For My Father. She will share her father’s Holocaust experience, and his liberation from Dachau.This event is sponsored by Temple Beth Hillel's Adult Education Committee. Barbara Bergren is an Award Winning Author, lecturer and Holocaust educator. She earned her MBA from the University of Hartford and worked in the finance industry for twenty-five years before writing Witness for My Father. Barbara visits schools, religious organizations, and community groups speaking about her father’s experience during and after World War II. This is the story of her father, Martin Weigen, and how his friendship and reunion with Lieutenant John Withers impacted her life.
Temple Beth Hillel is an inclusive congregation that welcomes all. The Temple was formed in 1960 in South Windsor and, in 2000, moved into its current building on the 20 Baker Lane. Affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism, the Temple holds services in English and Hebrew, has an active religious school, and is involved in social action and social justice.
