Awards Banquet

I just returned from the Awards Banguet, another well organized event. While we were eating, we were treated to a slide/video show of highlights from this year's bee. We also saw snips of some of the interviews Arvind has already had. Monday he appears with Kelly and Michael, Wednesday he'll appear on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. He gave a great thank you speech after dinner. The guest speaker was Joshua For, author of "Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything." He was funny and serious telling the spellers that the things they learned while preparing for the Spelling Bee will help them with anything they want to do in the future. After the banquet, the party began! Dancing, food and fun after a long week. I left while Keshav and his new friends were dancing to the Cha Cha Slide (check YouTube). Back to the room; it's time to pack and get ready to go home.
