Axe-Wielding Man Arrested In South Windsor: PD

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Officers arrested a man who was swinging axes on Pleasant Valley Road near Wheeler Road Tuesday, according to police.

Police got a number of calls about the man who was near a parked truck. They learned that Jacob Pritchard, 28, of South Windsor ran out of gas and was upset no one would stop for him, according to police.

Pritchard said he waved the axes to get peoples' attention.

He was charged with breach of peace and second-degree threatening. He was held in lieu of $2,500 bail.
