Bandit In Orange Mask Flees Attempted Robbery In South Windsor

South Windsor police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a local gas station.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a local gas station.

The incident took place at the Valero station at 180 Sullivan Ave. at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday.

sweatpants, police said. The clerk was not present at the counter, so the suspect went behind the
counter and attempted to open the register on his own, according to police.

When the clerk returned, the suspect brandished a silver firearm and ran out the door without taking anything.

The suspect then left the scene in a black, four-door sedan and was headed eastbound on Rye Street, police said.
