Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation Of South Windsor High School
Nothing suspicious was found, but students were dismissed for the day out of an abundance of caution as police investigated.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Students at South Windsor High School were dismissed shortly after the school day began Tuesday morning, following a bomb threat received on a voicemail.
Police were summoned to the school around 8:18 a.m., when the school was evacuated and students eventually sent home. A canine from the Connecticut State Police was brought into the building for a thorough search, but nothing dangerous or suspicious was found, Sgt. Mark Cleverdon said.
Students were allowed to return to the building to retrieve their belongings once it was deemed safe to do so, Cleverdon said.
