Grieving the loss of Hannah - how will we cope?

My daughter, Emma, is grieving the death of her dear friend, Hannah.  A week ago we were experiencing one of those rare times when things seemed – stable.  Hannah’s death has turned the life of my daughter upside down, and I am sure it has simply destroyed the lives of the Patrie family.  Hannah was a gifted young woman.  Talented and vibrant.  My wife and I are now, like many parents and friends, distraught and unable to comprehend the loss of this beautiful person.  We are also trying to understand how our own daughter, at age 16, will find a way to cope with losing her friend.  They had plans.  They had dreams.  Emma knows that nothing will be the same, for her, for the Patries and for all of those who knew and loved Hannah.
